After years of travelling through different countries and cultures, my search for what connects people led me back to a small village in Northern Germany, close to the place where I grew up. Through firefighters, artists, farmers and local residents, the film explores community not as an ideal, but as a lived practice. A documentary portrait about responsibility, belonging and the people who keep a place alive.
